Today I got the EBUS

Earlier today I underwent an EBUS procedure, which stands for Endobronchial Ultrasound, AKA a camera and needle down the throat that was used to take some samples from my chest glands. The procedure itself was pretty uncomfortable but fortunately it didn’t last too long. I was given sedation, but with a huge tube down your throat there’s an urge to cough, which I did quite a bit. Having a completely numb throat is also such a weird sensation in itself!

Anyway, there’s definitely something in my chest wall and the samples they took from it are currently being sent off to the lab for analysis. To recap, the doctors already unfortunately think it’s most probably cancerous. It is what it is though; regardless and I am very happy and positive about things at the moment. I’ll let everyone know when I have a definite result back 🙂
