Yesterdays Charity Man VS Food night went exceptionally well. Lyndon Woodward staved off competition from 15 other competitors and defended the Cut Throat Curry Champion title he won last year, completing the quite frankly ridiculous hot dish in just 43 seconds this time. The majority of competitors finished, but it’s fair to say a lot struggled- it was quite a spectacle! Two competitors then took on the monster burger challenge, consisting of eating over 72oz meat in an hour, but unfortunately both failed to finish the whole thing- though they gave it an exceptionally good go! Then the winner of the Jaffa Cake challenge was Chris Bullock who managed to consume a total of 8 in one minute! The atmosphere was fabulous throughout and generally it was just a really fun night with lots of talking points!!
Huge thank you to: the Wych Elm Pub for providing the food free of charge and hosting the whole event, Chase Multi Service Centre down Chasetown High Street for providing the winners trophies free of charge and the local Chase Terrace aldi for providing Jaffa cakes free of charge. Also thank you to all the competitors who took part, spectators who came along to support and anyone else who got involved somehow! Finally a big thank you to Lee Woodward who has worked tirelessly organising the whole event. We don’t know an exact total yet as there’s still bits of sponsor money still coming in, but we can confirm that over £1000 has already definitely been raised for Teenage Cancer Trust, which is fabulous!
Tomorrow I have a standard catch up appointment with the professor and after that I have a CT Scan. I will then be launching something very special tomorrow evening, so make sure you check back here (around 6pm) to find out what it is!!! I’m very excited to share it with you all!!!
