Since starting his journey Stephen has been presented with several awards in recognition of the work he does.

Stephen collecting Kids Count Most Inspirational Young Person 2013 AwardHe always states he doesn’t do what he does for awards and says the inner pride of making a difference is satisfaction enough, however he happily acknowledges and appreciates any that come his way. Significantly, he sees them as providing a platform to help more people from and hopes that his achievements inspire others to achieve great things.

To date Stephen has won the following accolades:

  • ‘Inspire the house’ 2013 Most Inspirational Young Person award, as voted for by MP’s in the House of Commons
  • vInspired National Awards Finalist in the category ‘All round commitment to volunteering’
  • Birmingham Mail Local Hero “Young Community Hero’ award
  • Regional Halifax Giving Extra award winner
  • The Neil Deville award from his School for ‘combined academic excellence with ambition and a fierce determination to succeed’
  • Burntwood ‘Young Citizen of the Year’ Award 2014

Stephen’s school, Chase Terrace Technology college, have also recently created the “Stephen Sutton Award for Inspiring Others”. Each year the prestigious award (pictured) will be given to a student who has positively influenced those around them.
